Season of Giving Starts Friday!

St. Lawrence Haven Toy Drive

A $5 donation, collected by Student Council in homerooms today through Friday, November 8, will be used to purchase Christmas gifts for the St. Lawrence Haven Toy Drive.

At St. Lawrence Haven, families can buy Christmas gifts for a heavily discounted price, giving parents the opportunity to provide wonderful Christmas memories for their children. All “profits” go right back into feeding the hungry at St. Lawrence Haven!

Students who participate by donating $5 will have permission to dress down per student handbook guidelines on Friday, November 8.

November 15: Food Drive for St. Francis Center in McArthur, Ohio

We are asking students to bring ten (10) non-perishable items (no money) for the St. Francis Center in McArthur, Ohio. Items will be collected in Dominican Hall the morning of November 15.

Illness/Appointment Reminders

Calling Off Sick

If your child is sick, either call the school (614) 268-8671 or email attendance@bwhs.org between 7:30-8:30 a.m. For the sake of our students and staff, please do not send your child to school sick.

Leaving for Appointment

If your child needs to leave for an appointment, here is the process:

1) Parent: Email attendance@bwhs.org or write a note with the following information:

  • Student first & last name, ID #
  • Time for student to leave
  • Parent signature

2) Student: Turn the note in to the main office or homeroom.

3) Students are responsible to go to the main office at the designated time and sign out. We do not interrupt class to get students.

Sick at School

Students who are not feeling well at school should go to the nurse for an assessment. If it is medically necessary for your child to go home, the nurse will contact a parent directly. The student will then wait in the nurse’s office or main office lobby. We do not interrupt class if a parent shows up because a student reached out to a parent to pick them up.

Fall Drama: Game of Tiaras

Tickets Sales Going Quickly

Performances are set for for the Little Theatre on November 15 and 16 at 7:00 p.m. and November 17 at 2:00 p.m. Recommended audience age is 12 and up.

When the aging king of a Magical Kingdom (England) decides to split his empire between his three daughters, Cinderella, Belle, and the Snow Queen (who in no way resemble copyrighted characters), terrible tragedy ensues. Terrible, hilarious tragedy. Combining the gut-wrenching plot twists of Game of Thrones and the soul-numbing despair of Shakespearean tragedy, this adaptation of King Lear will leave you dying with laughter as the body count mounts. When you play the Game of Tiaras, you win or you die.

Eucharistic Adoration

Parents Are Invited to Join Us

One of the efforts to nurture and encourage the spiritual life of our students here at Bishop Watterson is weekly exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. Each week, a grade is assigned to spend some time in silent prayer before the Blessed Sacrament during Theology class. On Wednesdays, we expose the Blessed Sacrament at 7:30 a.m. and remain in prayer until Benediction at 1:30 p.m. We would like to invite parents to join us. Eucharistic Adoration will be held in Dominican Hall until the chapel expansion and renovation is completed this fall.

If you have completed the “Protecting God’s Children” requirements of the Diocese and are interested in joining us for prayer, please click on the button below to sign-up for a particular Holy Hour.

We would like to thank you for your cooperation with this effort and we look forward to your joining us.
