Athletics


Boys Basketball District Champions

The boys basketball team defeated Walnut Ridge 45-41 to win the District Championship last Friday.


Gymnastics

Maria D’Orazio and Alaina Fisher represented BWHS at the gymnastics state meet last weekend with Maria finishing 15th in the all-around. Maria also finished 7th on floor, earning all-state honors, and was 13th on vault and 24th on beam. Alaina competed on vault, finishing 23rd. Congrats on a great season!

Wrestling

The boys wrestling team finished second and junior Michael Boyle earned his 100th career win at the district tournament this past weekend.


First place finishers for the Eagles at districts were Boyle at 215, AJ Demassimo at 285, Tommy Rowlands at 157 and James Lindsey at 150.


Sid Hunt at 106, Thomas Lindsey at 138 and Landon Lucas at 190 all finished second and Miles D’Orazio finished 4th at 165 and James Krzyzewski was 5th at 175.

Dance Team Tryouts


Learn about our competition team option designed for dancers who also participate in a fall sport at a parent/student information meeting on Monday, April 13, at 7:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. The meeting will cover tryouts, expectations and requirements. 


Optional Dance Clinics will also be offered to help dancers prepare for tryouts. These clinics will be led by the BWHS dance coaches and will include a warm-up, technique work, a short combo and time to ask questions. Clinics are not tryouts and no scores are taken. They are open to any current or prospective BWHS student interested in trying out.

Spring Kairos Registration Open


It's time for seniors to register for the Spring Kairos, April 19-22. Kairos is a 3½ day experience for seniors which invites them to encounter themselves, others and God in new, meaningful and unexpected ways. A deposit of $100 is due with registration. The total cost is $275 and scholarships are available. Registration form is available at the button below.

AP Macroeconomics Exam Payment Due on March 27

 

For students who are currently enrolled in AP Macroeconomics, the payment deadline to take the exam is Friday, March 27. Students must be joined into their AP classroom and registered for the exam.

Summer Camps

Sports offered are baseball, boys basketball, girls basketball, cheerleading, field hockey, football, boys soccer, girls soccer, softball, track & field, boys volleyball and girls volleyball.

Make an Adirondack chair or cornhole set at one of Mr. Long's wood shop camps this summer.

School Counselors


College Credit Plus

Students interested in taking College Credit Plus courses for the 2026-27 school year should contact their school counselors. Click here for resources on our website. The deadline to complete a funding application with the state is April 1. Prior to submitting the application, students must have an acceptance letter or a letter of good standing from the college.

Class of 2026 Scholarship Letters

Seniors are required to submit all financial aid and scholarship award letters. Please turn in a hard copy (preferred) or email your counselor these documents as soon as you receive them. April 24 is the last day to turn in scholarship letters.

Please submit all scholarship letters that have been received, even if not planning to attend the college

They are needed for the graduation program and slides displayed during graduation.

Eucharistic Adoration


Parents are invited to spend a holy hour with Jesus during Eucharistic Adoration in our newly renovated chapel. The Blessed Sacrament is exposed in the chapel on most Wednesdays at 7:30 a.m. and remains until Benediction at 1:30 p.m. Each week, one grade level is assigned to spend some time in silent prayer before the Blessed Sacrament during Theology class.
