Wrestling Team Wins State Championship

Congratulations to our boys wrestling team on winning the Division II State Championship! It is the first team championship in the history of the program.

Senior Mitchell Younger won his third individual state title at 144 lbs. (2022, 2023, 2024). Sophomore Michael Boyle took his second consecutive state title, winning at 215 lbs. His win in 2023 was at 165 lbs.

The Eagles also had two runners-up: junior James Lindsay at 150 lbs. and freshman Tommy Rowlands at 138 lbs. Freshman Thomas Lindsay finished 4th at 132 lbs.

En route to the state tournament, the team won its first District Championship in 45 years, with Younger, Boyle, James Lindsay and Thomas Lindsay all finishing in first place. Other top finishers were Rowlands in second and senior Greyson Conyers in third place.

Sock Drive Next Week

Bishop Watterson Student Council will be hosting a sock drive next week, March 24-28. Students can drop their donations off in Dominican Hall or the Chapel Lobby. The drive benefits Holy Family, a local charity that helps families in need right here in our own community. We ask that all socks donated be new and in their original packaging. On Friday, March 28, we will have an all-school crazy sock day; all students are invited to come to school wearing fun and crazy socks!

Men's Night 2025 Registration Deadline is Friday at Noon

It's that time of year for the men of Bishop Watterson to get together for a fun evening of fellowship and good food with remarks by our 2024-25 state champion coaches: Brian Kennedy (football), Scott Dempsey (girls soccer) and Felix Catheline (wrestling).

All alumni, current or past dads, grandfathers, colleagues or friends are welcome!
