IOWA Assessment Days
We will be administering the IOWA assessment to freshmen on Tuesday, April 14, and Thursday, April 16. Sophomores, juniors and seniors will have a late start on those days. Please see the schedule below. The IOWA assessment is used in place of the Ohio End-of-Course exams to fulfill the state testing graduation requirement.
Bus service: Buses will run as usual so any students arriving early and not testing will have a study hall in the cafeteria.

Cafeteria Balances
Parents, please check your student’s lunch balance to ensure the account has funds. Students with a negative balance of more than $25 will not be able to make purchases from the cafeteria starting this week.

Upcoming Online ACT Test Prep
The College Review is offering an online test prep opportunity on Saturday, April 4, from 9:00-11:00 a.m., for the upcoming April 11 ACT. PLEASE NOTE THE DATE CHANGE. Students can learn more and register HERE.
College Credit Plus
Students interested in taking College Credit Plus courses for the 2026-27 school year should contact their school counselors. Click here for resources on our website. The deadline to complete a funding application with the state is April 1. Prior to submitting the application, students must have an acceptance letter or a letter of good standing from the college.

Class of 2026 Scholarship Letters
Seniors are required to submit all financial aid and scholarship award letters. Please turn in a hard copy (preferred) or email your counselor these documents as soon as you receive them. April 24 is the last day to turn in scholarship letters.
Please submit all scholarship letters that have been received, even if not planning to attend the college.
They are needed for the graduation program and slides displayed during graduation.

Athletics
Wrestling Team Wins Second Consecutive State Title
The boys wrestlers had another historic season, earning their second straight Division II team championship. Junior Michael Boyle won his third straight individual state title, at 215 this year, and senior James Lindsay took home his first individual title at 150 after two years finishing as runner-up.
Sophomore Tommy Rowlands finished as runner-up at 157, sophomore Thomas Lindsay finished 4th at 138 and junior AJ DeMassimo took 5th at 285.

Class of 2026 Signing Day is April 12
Seniors who will participate in college athletics next year are invited to join us for our Class of 2026 Signing Day on Sunday, April 12, at 2:00 p.m. in the main gym! Family and friends are invited to attend this celebration and students are encouraged to wear apparel and/or bring items from their chosen college.
Students planning to participate should stop by the Athletic Office on the lower level to pick up a form which must be returned by Tuesday, April 7, to ensure inclusion in the program.

Eucharistic Adoration
Can you spchedule an hour with us?
Parents are invited to spend a holy hour with Jesus during Eucharistic Adoration in our newly renovated chapel. The Blessed Sacrament is exposed in the chapel on most Wednesdays at 7:30 a.m. and remains until Benediction at 1:30 p.m. Each week, one grade level is assigned to spend some time in silent prayer before the Blessed Sacrament during Theology class.

AP Macroeconomics Exam Payment Due on March 27
For students who are currently enrolled in AP Macroeconomics, the payment deadline to take the exam is Friday, March 27. Students must be joined into their AP classroom and registered for the exam.
Click on the button below to go to our online payment page. Families can also pay with a check (made out to Bishop Watterson High School), money order or cash, turned in to Mrs. Forker in the tech lab by the due date.

Spring Kairos Registration Open
Seniors can now register for Spring Kairos, April 19-22. Kairos is a 3½ day experience for seniors which invites them to encounter themselves, others and God in new, meaningful and unexpected ways. Dance Team Tryouts
Learn about our competition team option designed for dancers who also participate in a fall sport at a parent/student information meeting on Monday, April 13, at 7:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. The meeting will cover tryouts, expectations and requirements.
Optional Dance Clinics will also be offered to help dancers prepare for tryouts. These clinics will be led by the BWHS dance coaches and will include a warm-up, technique work, a short combo and time to ask questions. Clinics are not tryouts and no scores are taken. They are open to any current or prospective BWHS student interested in trying out.
