Volunteer of the Month for September

Congratulations to Mari Wilson ’27, Bishop Watterson Volunteer of the Month for September! Mari regularly serves a wide-ranging group of individuals, from young spirited soccer players to hopeful young adults in Special Olympics programs. Mari completed her Sophomore Service Training project with Buddy Up Tennis and has remained an active volunteer ever since. Recently she volunteered at a camp that focused on tennis skill sets for young adults ages 17-20. Mari said her favorite part of the camp was watching how much growth the athletes displayed in just one short week of camp. Additionally, Mari actively volunteers at both St. Peter Parish and St. Michael Parish, helping with Sacrament Prep for elementary aged students.

Mari, thank you for showing Christ’s love through your actions!

Service hour forms are submitted by students to Service Director Mrs. Bowman in the Theology Office. The form can be found by clicking here.

Parents Are Invited to Join Us

One of the efforts to nurture and encourage the spiritual life of our students here at Bishop Watterson is weekly exposition of the Blessed Sacrament on Wednesdays. Each week, one grade level is assigned to spend some time in silent prayer before the Blessed Sacrament during Theology class. The Blessed Sacrament is exposed in the chapel at 7:30 a.m. and remains until Benediction at 1:30 p.m.

If you have completed the “Protecting God’s Children” requirements of the Diocese, please click on the button below to sign-up for a particular Holy Hour.
