Be Prepared for High Heat

As the Pasadena community heads into the warmest time of year, Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) aims to reassure the public that the utility continues to prioritize providing reliable power during the hot summer months. Here are some tips on preparing for high heat and how you can help reduce energy demand throughout the season.

Water-Wise Landscapes: Creating a Sustainable Residential Garden

PWP invites you to a series of workshops designed to inspire and support the creation of California native gardens at home. Learn from native garden experts who will walk you through the turf removal process, highlight a wide range of native plant options, and share practical design ideas for building beautiful, water-wise landscapes.

Save 20–30% on Solar & Battery Upfront Costs with PWP Rebates

Did you know PWP offers rebates to help residential and commercial electric customers make solar and battery storage more affordable? Residential customers can receive $0.60 per Watt for installing a new rooftop solar system or $1.00 per watt if enrolled in one of PWP’s bill assistance programs. Residential battery storage rebates are $350 per kiloWatt-hour (kWh), with an additional $200 per kWh for income-qualified and Medical Assistance Program participants.

These incentives typically cover 20–30% of system costs, making it easier to invest in clean, reliable home energy. If you're considering solar or storage, now is an excellent time to explore your options. For more information, visit PWP’s website, where both residential and commercial program details, eligibility, and next steps are available.

Bill Assistance Programs

PWP is dedicated to providing reliable water and power service to customers. For those who might need additional help, PWP offers several programs including payment plans, bill assistance for income-qualifying customers, and rebates designed to lower your utility bill.
