OCTOBER 2018
FINAL POWER IRP MEETING - OCTOBER 30
Over the past several months, PWP worked collaboratively with the community to develop the 2018 Power Integrated Resource Plan (IRP).

Please join us for the third and final community meeting, where PWP will present the proposed 2018 Power IRP results. The results were compiled using data from research findings, stakeholder input, and comments from the community. The final Power IRP meeting will take place on:

Tuesday, October 30
5 P.M. - 6 P.M.
Jackie Robinson Center - Auditorium
1020 N. Fair Oaks Avenue

The Power IRP will determine the best mix of energy supply options that achieves Pasadena's reliability and environmental stewardship goals while maintaining competitive electric rates. To learn more about the plan, visit our 2018 Power IRP page.

PWP CONTINUES TO SPREAD AWARENESS OF EV BENEFITS
PWP is committed to promoting the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in the Pasadena community.

PWP introduced new EV incentives to eligible customers, including up to $750 in rebates for new or used EVs, and a $600 rebate for installing a Wi-Fi-enabled EV charger at their homes. Commercial customers can also receive up to $50,000 for installing EV chargers at their businesses. To learn more, visit our Electric Vehicles page.

PWP, City of Pasadena Transportation Department, and CALSTART also held a press conference to announce a new program that recruits employers to incentive their employees to drive electric cars and charge at their workplace. The “Shared EV Employer Demonstration” (SEED) program allows employees from participating organizations to test drive a car as a primary mode of transportation for two weeks and to use workplace chargers as their primary charging source.

PWP CELEBRATES "PEOPLE IN PUBLIC POWER"
PWP joined more than 2,000 community-owned, not-for-profit electric utilities to celebrate Public Power Week from October 7 to 13, 2018. Coordinated by the American Public Power Association, Public Power Week highlights the reliable electric service provided by local utilities, as well as the employees who work hard to support those efforts.

To celebrate Public Power Week, PWP presented a series of “People in Public Power” videos on Facebook and Twitter throughout the week. Each video highlighted employees throughout PWP’s Power division in order to educate the public on the variety of roles and responsibilities within the community-owned utility.
