MARCH 2019
COMMUNITY MEETINGS ON PROPOSED
WATER RATE ADJUSTMENTS
PWP is proposing important changes to its water rates, which include the elimination of rate differences for customers located outside Pasadena city limits, and adjustments related to our Distribution & Customer and Commodity charges. The seasonal differential currently applied to summer water rates will also be eliminated.

A Public Hearing is scheduled for Monday, May 13 at 7pm. PWP wants to hear your feedback and invite you to attend an upcoming community meeting:
  • Thursday, April 11 at 6:30 PM at Robinson Park - Multi-Purpose Room
  • Thursday, April 25 at 6:30 PM at Pasadena City College Community Education Center

PWP values your input. To learn more, please visit our Proposed Water Rate Adjustments page.
REPLACE YOUR TURF AND GET $2 PER SQUARE FOOT
Recent rains have provided an excellent opportunity to upgrade your landscapes. Thanks to a rebate from PWP and Metropolitan Water District, customers will now have the opportunity to create efficient landscapes that will thrive in the Southern California climate.

Starting on April 1, PWP water customers can receive an upgraded rebate of $2 per sq. ft. of replaced turf, with a maximum rebate of up to $10,000. Funds will be available on a limited-time basis and additional project requirements apply.

To learn more, visit PWP's Turf Replacement Program page.
WATERING 3 DAYS PER WEEK MAY BE MORE THAN YOU NEED THIS SUMMER
Beginning April 1 until October 31, outdoor watering is permitted up to three days per week before 9 a.m. and after 6 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Did you know that with efficient irrigation, you may be able to water even less than three days per week during the summer months? PWP encourages you to explore water-efficient irrigation methods such as weather-based irrigation controllers, soil moisture sensors, rotating nozzle sprinkler heads, and rain barrels. Best of all, these conservation tools are eligible for rebates from PWP!

Visit our Save Water page for conservation resources, rebate information, upcoming workshops, and much more.
