PWP PLANS TO INSTALL HYDRATION
STATIONS IN PASADENA
The PWP Hydration Station Program, which launched in May 2019, is designed to provide the community with access to safe, great-tasting, high quality tap water. PWP has committed to installing six to eight Hydration Stations – an accessible drinking fountain that also includes a water bottle filling station and a pet drinking fountain. These will be installed at various Pasadena parks, community centers and city facilities located within the Disadvantaged Area Community (DAC). The first station was unveiled on May 8 at La Pintoresca Library and Park. Coming up, Villa Parke and Robinson Park will also receive these direct-install stations. In addition, PWP is providing a $1,500 incentive for Pasadena-based organizations within the DAC to install Hydration Stations in public access areas.

This program is part of PWP’s larger efforts to educate the community about the safety and health of their tap water, as well as to encourage Pasadena residents and visitors to rethink plastic bottles and switch to reusable. Pasadena’s drinking water is high quality, contains important minerals like magnesium and calcium, and is more affordable and safer than bottled water. By switching to tap water, consumers can boost their health and help preserve our planet!
