Celebrating 85 Years and National Cooperative Month!

October is National Cooperative Month, and since 1939, LPEA has lit up homes, farms, and businesses, embodying the values of self-reliance and cooperation. "It wasn't just about electricity; it was about empowering our community," says Interim CEO Graham Smith.

The cooperative was born out of necessity, with a structure that benefits every member. In celebrating our 85 years, we aim to capture the character of the community, honor our longest-standing members, and bring the most important part of our cooperative together–our members.
