Be a Planet Protector! Join our virtual challenge to learn how to recycle properly, clean up our earth, and be more sustainable!

Earn a water bottle, canvas book tote, or set of silicon zip bags when you complete the challenge!

Three different age groups are available:
Kindergarten - 5th Grade
6th Grade - 8th Grade

The Waushara Master Gardeners have given a generous donation to make our Seed Library possible. Stop at the library to get started on the healthy and relaxing hobby of growing and nurturing your own food and flower bouquets. We also have seeds to help our friends in nature such as butterflies, birds, and bees!

Early Literacy Programs
Get into the habit of reading to your child before he or she is born. Earn a board book and adorable onesie for your baby!

Keep your child on the path to success by helping them develop the skills needed to read and learn. Kids will earn prizes along the way!

Please, help us congratulate Rose on her completion of the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program! During her reading journey, Rose received stickers, Culver's coupons, a board books, a picture book, coloring pages, and her choice from our prize bucket. To honor Rose's achievement, the library purchased a book in her honor!

Hoopla's collection Earth Day for Kids has nearly 100 books, movies, and audiobooks that inspire kids to be planet protectors!

Find picture books, read-alongs, titles for beginning readers, and more in the Kids' Digital Library on Overdrive.

Both of these are completely free with your Wautoma Library card!
In the Children's Library
Visit our Children's Library with over 8,000 items available for checkout and new items arriving each week.
Some recent additions have been Wonderbooks which are print books with a ready-to-play audiobook inside and a learning mode for literacy learning and fun.
Launchpads have been popular as they are preloaded, themed tablets to encourage interactive learning and play.

Brat Fry Fundraiser
On May 22nd stop at StoneRidge's Brat Barn to support the Library's Summer Reading Program! The program encourages kids to continue reading throughout the summer, experience new things, and foster an appreciation for the library and community! Programs will include Mr. Steve the magician, Zoozort live animal programs, and more! We will also be having magnificent raffle drawings for the kids, teens, AND adults. See our event line up HERE!
Virtual Book Club
The Wautoma Library Virtual Book Club is reading The Darwin Affair by Tim Mason for April's discussion.
A gruesome historical thriller about a murder conspiracy fueled by the sensationalism of Darwin's On the Origin of species.

The book is available in audio and ebook on Hoopla. If you want to join in our Facebook book club discussion or to see what the book club is like, go to the Wautoma Library Book Club Facebook page and ask to join.

Waushara County Resource Guide for Waushara residents meeting eligibility guidelines. Information on food pantries, Housing & Utilities, and basic supplies.
Waushara's Vision Facebook Page will keep you informed on mobile pantry sites and schedules. Residents interested in receiving FREE food can visit one pantry site per week. This food is available for ALL community members.
