Wayne STEM Academy Announces Opening Of New Additional Building for 2024-25

The School Board and Leadership Team of Wayne STEM Academy are thrilled to announce the opening of our new additional facility on our Summit Road campus in Goldsboro. The board's recent purchase of the building adjacent to our existing learning cottages will help WSA serve our growing population of scholars.

Board Chair Chretien Dumond views the school's physical expansion as being very well-timed. He comments, "Wayne County, Goldsboro and surrounding communities have enthusiastically embraced our school and our academic model. Our dramatic increase in enrollment of over 150 additional students, as we enter our second year, made it essential that we move decisively and add space for our scholars. The opportunity to purchase a building next door from Generation Church will make it possible to manage our growth in the coming years."

The permanent building will include three discrete sections. Lancer will be the new home for our rising second grade students. The Command Center will host our administrators and front office. The Hangar -- our popular before & after school program -- will operate in the Front Foyer.

WSA Executive Director Dr. Todd Forgette is eager to welcome #WSAWildcats to our school's newest additions, noting "The excitement in the air for our new school year is amazing. With the help of local contractors, we've been able to prepare this new space in time for the start of school. WSA will be increasing our enrollment by over 150 students this year and the added facilities will play a major part in allowing to continue to achieve our academic standards. We can't wait to get started!"

Exciting times are here for #WSAWilcats, as we invite our scholars and their parents to our annual Open House festivities on Thursday, August 22.

Doors open at 5:15, with teacher presentations to follow. Please see the image below for specific times.

We'll also have Information Tables set up in our main foyer to allow parents to get the details they seek about Transportation, Exceptional Children, The Hangar -- our popular before & after school program, and Student Information.

CONFIRMED: Wayne STEM Academy Adds New Student Bus Stop At Seymour Johnson

#WSA Wildcats is thrilled to announce the possible addition of a new bus stop for our scholars in military families.
