This summer, the library is excited to partner with Beanstack for an online Summer Reading Challenge. Sign up online or at the front desk. Choose from a list of reading challenges, read any style or format you like, and log your completed challenges online. Staff are always happy to make reading suggestions!

Outdoor Craft Club

Wednesday, June 20, 6PM


Meet at the River Shelter in Ridgeview Park and learn how to make a hanging terrarium. There are limited supplies, so please sign up at the circulation desk or email Anne at:[email protected]

Food Truck Friday

Friday, July 22, 11AM-3PM


Kelly’s Kitchen is the newest food truck in Waynesboro and will be set up in the lower-level parking lot selling mini cheesecakes. The Friends of the Library are also having a pop-up book sale.

Summer Finale Party

Saturday, July 30, 11AM-NOON


Celebrate a whole summer of reading! Play games outside, bounce in the bouncy castle and don’t miss a special visit from the Waynesboro Fire Department. All ages. No registration required.

Weekly Outside Kids Crafts

Tuesdays, 11AM-NOON


Let your creativity shine and get some sunshine at our weekly kids’ craft, outside by the flag pole. Things might get a little messy, so don’t wear your favorite clothes! Ages 6-12. Registration required. Register at the front desk or call 540-942-6746.

Preschool Story Time

Wednesdays, 9:30AM-10:00AM


Stories and songs for ages 3-5 and caregivers. Story time will meet outside; in case of rain, the program will be recorded and posted to Facebook


Baby & Toddler Story Time

Outdoor Book Club


Waynesboro Public Library will be hosting a book club each month at one of our beautiful parks! Monday, July 11, 2022, we’ll be meeting at 11 am at the pavilion at Coyner Springs Park in Waynesboro. The book will be Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee. Stop by the circulation desk to sign up and pick up a copy of your book.
