Important information for
Families with children PreK through 5th grade
as you begin planning for Fall 2021:
calendar-banner.jpg
Thursday will be the MOST IMPORTANT night for children and families at University UMC.
Beginning in September
Jubilee Choir will rehearse on Thursday at 4:45pm, followed by a weekly Celebration Community gathering + meal from 6 to 7pm.
Putting this on your calendar is a good start...
Next step: VOLUNTEER!
Your children are in the church community.
The church's children are in your community .
Children need caring adults to PLAN and be PRESENT
  1. Put it on your calendar now! Make church activities a priority on your family's weekly schedule.
  2. Look at volunteering as an opportunity! You are building a better community for your children, with other children.
  3. Pray about it, then choose a volunteer opportunity! Click HERE to tell Rebecca how you will volunteer.

A book is a good way to open the conversation. That's the concept behind
FAMILY PICNIC WITH A BOOK.
Bring your picnic and join other church families this
Wednesday July 21 at 5pm
We'll meet in the church courtyard, with access to the building and the playground.
We want our children to be welcoming and loving. Building awareness of "not like me and that's okay" is the goal, but how to start that journey?
Do you have a book we should consider? Let me know!
Recommended for families with elementary-aged kids, but all families/parents welcome!
Rebecca does not think that Charlie heard correctly, but Charlie knows he is called by God to change the world.

Look for this week's
Children's Moment
during the July 18
online worship service at 10am.
