Important information for
Families with children PreK through 5th grade
as you begin planning for Fall 2021:
Thursday will be the MOST IMPORTANT night for children and families at University UMC.
Beginning in September
Jubilee Choir will rehearse on Thursday at 4:45pm, followed by a weekly Celebration Community gathering + meal from 6 to 7pm.
Putting this on your calendar is a good start...

Your children are in the church community.

Children need caring adults to PLAN and be PRESENT
  1. Put it on your calendar now! Make church activities a priority on your family's weekly schedule.
  2. Look at volunteering as an opportunity! You are building a better community for your children, with other children.
  3. Pray about it, then choose a volunteer opportunity! Click HERE to tell Rebecca how you will volunteer.

Celebration Community on Thursday evenings:
  • Leader plus team to organize Fellowship Hall set up each week
  • Assistant Jubilee Choir director
  • Jubilee Choir accompanist
Sunday Celebration (Sunday School):
  • Team of teachers for 2-4 year old classes
  • Volunteers for K-1st grade group
  • Assistant Cherub Choir director
  • Team of teachers for 2nd-5th grade classes
[Wide Circle Worship (first Sundays, 9am)
  • Team to plan for children's meaningful engagement in worship service, including logistics, and sanctuary and materials preparation

Wednesday July 21 at 5pm
We'll meet in the church courtyard, with access to the building and the playground.
We want our children to be welcoming and loving. Building awareness of "not like me and that's okay" is the goal, but how to start that journey?

Recommended for families with elementary-aged kids, but all families/parents welcome!
