I've Got Four Granddaughters!
Does this sound a little like Tevye in "Fiddler On The Roof"?
Last month I wrote about granddaughter Bella, Damian's daughter and her quilt. Well, wouldn't you know that granddaughter Sierra, Carissa's daughter and friend of Bella, was up visiting this month and politely and longingly requested that she make a quilt with Ruth! Go figure! No Duh!
There was a significant difference: Bella was here for ten days of quilting to make her king and Sierra was here for four to make her twin. As a result, Ruth ended up doing a lot more of the work on the quilt.
Sierra liked the same design ["Julia's Stars"] as did Bella. Ruth cut the design down so that it could fit on Sierra's twin bed.
As Hobby Lobby was open at night and Ruth has a day job, that's where they went to get the fabric. They hunkered down for four days making the blocks and assembling the rows. Ruth followed on by assembling the rows together and making the borders. This allowed the top do get done in enough time for Sierra to longarm it. Then Ruth wrapped it up by machine binding it.
Man, can that girl smile! Congratulations, Sierra & Thank You, Ruth!
