Lynn has used his skill to leave a unique mark on the organization. From 2008-2012 he served as a regular construction volunteer. “It’s pretty cool to watch a new home appear out of nothing and become a family’s dream,” says Lynn. However, his contribution to a home starts long before hammers and nails.
Lynn serves on the Construction Committee, and since 2018 he has worked closely with Cedar Valley Habitat’s Construction Director to design the house plans. Using his drafting skills, Lynn has produced plans for nearly 20 Habitat homes that fit our criteria of safe, decent, and affordable, while also adapting to the unique requirements of each lot. His contributions as a volunteer have shaped Habitat homes in a very meaningful way.
