We Are Hiring - How This Will Impact Youth & Filmmaker Outreach and Services
We have exciting news! Our Associate Director of Development, Ted Cavooris, has been promoted to a brand new position - Director of Youth Outreach! This new position will help us continue to broaden our demographics, appeal to the young film-lovers of today, and bring the future generation of senior members into our community.
In his new role, Ted will continue to work closely with the ever-expanding and energized Youth Advisory Board, will bring our Long Island Youth Film Festival (a huge success in its inaugural year) to the next level, expand our services to emerging filmmakers of all ages, coordinate a robust volunteer team who will gain vital knowledge and experience while increasing the productivity of our small staff, build new programs for families, and expand our capacity for grant-seeking.
Ted joined the Cinema as an entry level employee working in our cafe, and was eventually promoted to the position of Associate Director of Development where he has made an immeasurable impact. This is a testament to the Cinema's propensity to cultivate and develop staff - helping to keep talent right here on Long Island.
Ted's transition creates a need to hire a part-time Assistant to the Director of Development. The ideal candidate (of any age) has career aspirations in nonprofit development/fundraising and is seeking an entry-level position in order to gain knowledge and experience.
