We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile Director of Finance and Business Operations to execute on all of the Foundation’s financial and business operations, working under the direction of our CEO and in close concert with the entire Foundation staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong financial background, an understanding of the complexity of a multi-program charitable organization, a can-do attitude, and the flexibility to wear multiple hats. A key requirement of the candidate is to take a collaborative approach to problem-solving across the team, continually balancing the achievement of both our short-term and longer-term goals and objectives.

The Aiken Horse Park Foundation (“the Foundation”) is a tax-exempt, not-for-profit organization based in Aiken, South Carolina. It was formed for the purpose of promoting and preserving Aiken’s historic equestrian way of life and contributing to the community through a range of civic, educational and other charitable initiatives.

The Foundation’s equestrian and other programming are hosted at Bruce’s Field, housed on 66-acres in the center of Aiken’s Historic Horse District and recognized as one of the premier host sites for equestrian events in the United States.  Its premier facilities provide the ability to deliver unmatched hospitality for horse and rider alike.  It is home to a wide range of year-round equestrian events across all riding disciplines, including hunters, jumpers, eventing and dressage.

The Foundation is led by its Chief Executive Officer with governance provided by its Board of Directors. It serves a dual mission of managing the horse park infrastructure and extensive equestrian programming as well as conceiving, raising and deploying capital to execute on its charitable mission.

Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their resume and cover letter detailing their qualifications and experience to tara@aikenhorsepark.org. We look forward to welcoming a new member to our passionate and dedicated team.
