Member Brief Bytes
This is coming out a little late as we wanted to hear Governor Walz's message today at 2:00. He has asked that all Minnesotans stay at home from midnight this Friday, March 27th until Friday, April 10th. This means that people are to stay at home as much as possible, away from gatherings of any kind except for essential needs and services such as: To go to the doctor, get food and gas, to take care of others, and for essential travel (getting back home from somewhere else as an example). This is waived if you are in critical sector work.

Governor Walz extended the date of the initial executive order for the bars and restaurants to May 1st. Drive through, curbside and delivery options remain as they have been recently. Online education will start next week and continue until May 4th. He stated that he is not keeping us in the house - he is asking us to stay home - at a greater level than even what us Minnesotan's had already been doing. You can be outdoors - just keep your social distance when walking and jogging etc...

These next two weeks will give the State more time to get our hospitals readied. It will not flatten the curve as much as move the curve out so they can meet the demand. This decision was based on models and data from other states as well as where we are now here in MN.

What this means for your as members is that there will be more working remotely than maybe has already been implemented. What this means for the Chamber office is that we will be working remotely too - but we will be working harder than ever for you! See the full executive order 20-20 here
