Sunflour Baking Company has been a Harrisburg favorite since 2017!
🧁 Open from 7am to 4pm, their menu caters to all tastes, from breakfast to dessert. Highlights include the Egg, Bacon, and Cheddar Sandwich on a cheddar biscuit and a delightful array of muffins.
- Recently, the Harrisburg location was expanded to include a production kitchen, supporting their online and wholesale operations.

The Kannapolis Fire Department will host a fire truck parade, food drive, and bloodmobile event in October. | |

💪 🩸 Bloodmobile (9am to 2pm)
OneBlood will have the Big Red Bus at Kannapolis City Hall for anyone who would like to make a blood donation. Appointments encouraged.
🥫🤝 Food Drive (Noon to 6pm)
“Stuff the Truck” with canned food donations and meet local firefighters at Kannapolis City Hall. Needed items include canned meats, peanut butter, jelly, spaghetti sauce, spaghetti noodles, canned fruit, pork-n-beans, and pudding cups. All items will be taken to Cooperative Christian Ministry to distribute locally.
🚒🎉 Fire Truck Parade (Begins at 6pm)
The parade route proceeds along Laureate Way and N. Research Campus Drive between City Hall and the North Carolina Research Campus. Bring a chair and see old and new fire trucks from departments throughout the region.

We have compiled all the info you need to make voting in our local elections easy. Why? Because, believe it or not, so many people still don't vote, especially in municipal elections that decide important local officials like city council and mayor, or primaries that are often not on everyday citizens radars. But we have you covered!
Going to be out of town on election day? You have two great opens.

Absentee voting: going on now...your last day to request an absentee ballot is Tuesday, Oct 31st at 5pm. Visit the County website for all the details.

Early voting: weekdays from from Oct 19th - Nov 4th at the Cabarrus County Board of Elections office located at 369 Church Street N, Concord, NC 28025. This is the most convenient way to vote in CabCo!

This tasty fundraiser, now in its 18th year, warms both the tummy and the heart as it pairs the opportunity to sample soups from some of Cabarrus’ favorite restaurants with the goal of raising funds to support the elderly and homebound in our community.
🎟️ Tickets are only $30 and you can sample as many soups, breads, and desserts as you like!
- The Smoke Pit and Basilico Italiano will be participating again this year, along with new participants: Grounds & Vine, Rachel’s Place, Asian Café, and Table 11.
👵🍽️🚗 CMOW prepares nutritious meals each weekday morning for disadvantaged seniors in Kannapolis, Concord, and surrounding areas and then relies on loyal volunteers to deliver them while simultaneously offering a check-in at the time of delivery.

🐶 Concord Parks & Rec is hosting the 20th Annual Dogs’ Day Out on Oct 21st from 10:30am-2pm. 🐕🦺🐾 Pet lovers and their dogs are invited to Les Myers Park to play off-leash in the doggie fun zone and enter a contest for a chance to win cool prizes. 🏅

😄🍺 Beerly Funny has once again teamed up with Cabarrus Brewing Co. for a special night of stand-up comedy in Concord on Oct 15th. 🍻🎤 Limited seating; grab your tickets in advance for $20 per person and arrive early to enjoy dinner from the The Kitchen before the show starts at 6pm. Doors open at 5pm. Admission is 21+ only.
💖 Bringing Hearts and Minds Together is an event hosted by NAMI Cabarrus for families, designed to raise awareness for mental health and wellness. It will be held at Frank Liske Park Barn on Saturday, Oct 14th from Noon-4pm and feature activities including 🎨 art, 🎶 music, 🧘🏽 fitness, and a presentation on personal mental health and wellness.
