Hello, friends,
By now many of you have heard the news that Pamela Prince-Eason, President and CEO of WBENC, has passed away. We extend our love and condolences to her family, including her husband, John, her three children and six grandchildren, and her mother Betty Jo.
Pam has served as a friend, mentor and guiding light to so many of us in the business community, championing women business owners and amplifying the voices of entrepreneurs.
“My heart is heavy for Pam’s family, her friends around the world, and the team who worked with her daily,” said Nancy Allen, President and CEO of WBEC Florida. “Her sudden death came as a shock. We will all miss her. I hope her family can take solace in the knowledge that Pam’s legacy will live on in the work we do.”
Pam served as the leader of WBENC and its extended network of regional partners for 14 years after stepping into the role in 2011. Under her leadership, the organization has expanded its work, developing groundbreaking training for women business owners and enlisting the support of Fortune 500 companies.
Pam also represented women-owned businesses in collaborating with other organizations that champion inclusion. She was serving a third term on the National Women’s Business Council, a nonpartisan federal advisory committee that provides policy recommendations for the president, Congress and the U.S. Small Business Administration on issues of importance to entrepreneurs.
Among her many accolades, Pam was recognized with the Women’s Business Enterprise Hall of Fame Executive Leadership Award, the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE) – Woman of Achievement, and membership in the Enterprising Women Hall of Fame.
We will share information about Pam’s memorial as it becomes available.
Until then, we send love your way and hope you take time to tell the important people in your life how much they mean to you.
Warmly,
Nancy and Terri
