BUILDING COMMUNITY AT STARR KING ELEMENTARY:

MAS-SSF CONNECTS WITH STUDENTS AND FAMILIES AT FALL FESTIVAL

MAS-SSF participated in the November 6th Starr King event. Part of the San Juan Unified School District, the Starr King staff welcomed more than 300 visitors to the Festival. Students, parents and other community members gathered at the school for this bustling outdoor two-hour event on a beautiful afternoon.

The goal of this seasonal celebration was to bring community together to share information about the wide range of social services available to students and parents. MAS-SSF staff spoke with numerous attendees, handed out flyers with details about our programs for all ages, signed up new subscribers for our weekly newsletter, and told first-hand stories about our engaging and educational workshops.

We collected information on additional resources available and want to share them with our community:

Thank You Starr King for Inviting MAS-SSF to Participate in this Wonderful Event!

In the coming weeks, we will be hosting an intimate, invitation-only dinner. We hope to gather with community members to hold conversations about our work supporting Muslim survivors. This gathering is a chance to learn, connect, and consider how your partnership can make a real difference.

Meet the people behind our programs, hear stories of healing and strength, and discover ways to support women and children seeking safety and dignity.
