We Are Grateful

We have so much to be grateful for here at The Giving Tree. Thankful for our amazing volunteers... without them... The Giving Tree does not exist. Thankful for the Giving Tree kids and their families that look to us to provide opportunities to give back to our community. We are so thankful to be doing what we do... 10 years strong!
Thank you to each and every one of YOU!
Working Hands 2019
Saturday, November 2nd

Our 10 th Annual Working Hands event brought kids and teens together focusing on giving back... and helping those in need. Over 3,000 projects and gifts were created for various nonprofit organizations in Bucks, Montgomery & Philadelphia Counties. What an incredible day!

A very special thank you to the volunteers and participants for making the day such a success!
Gratitude Month

November is National Gratitude Month.
Gratitude is more than simply saying “thank you.” Gratitude’s amazing powers have the ability to shift us from focusing on the negative to appreciating what is positive in our lives.
2020 MLK Sock Roll Challenge
Get involved in making a difference this MLK Day!

Register your school, class, team or group up for our 4th Annual MLK Sock Roll Challenge . Socks are the number one most requested item in the homeless community... be a part of the solution!

In 2019, our groups created 11,809 sock rolls!! Can we top that number this year?? We think we can!! Click the link below for more information and to sign up your group for the Challenge! There is a $25 donation to join the Challenge (to help us cover the cost.) Deadline is January 31, 2020.
Thank You to Veterans

Over 100 Giving Tree cards of gratitude were sent to Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center in Philadelphia. The cards were distributed to the patients of the hospital on Veterans Day. A simple... but meaningful gesture to say thank you for the service and dedication to this great nation!
Pennridge Central Middle
A special Thank You to the staff and 6th grade students of Pennridge Central Middle School for inviting us to be a part of their Day of Service! The students focused on projects benefiting the food insecure and homeless communities. We were thrilled to work with this amazing group of students who are clearly making a difference in their community!
Peanut Butter Lovers Month

Peanut butter is an excellent source of zinc, iron and potassium... and of course is so high in protein. Food pantries are always in need of restocking their shelves of peanut butter for their clients. This month... pick up some extra jars of PB for a food cupboard near you!

 Nonprofit Spotlight
The Kolbe Fund

The Kolbe Fund helps families facing pediatric medical crises. When a child must travel to receive medical care, The Kolbe Fund helps to cover lodging and travel costs for families. Upon arrival, each family is provided with a kit filled with practical items they might need for their stay. The Giving Tree has created a very special project to add to the kit called a Kolbe Kids Bag. It is filled with fun crafty items that will hopefully take the child’s mind off of what can be a challenging and stressful situation for them.
