"We are an organization of churches that is committed
to the mission of Christ to multiply disciple-making churches
through evangelism, leadership training, and connection with
other like-minded churches."

We live in difficult times, but we also live in a time of great opportunity. I am inviting you to an opportunity to join our region of churches on Thursday, November 12th for our One Day Vision Conference. This conference is in lieu of an Annual Meeting and will be held virtually through Zoom. We would like you and your pastoral/leadership teams to join us. The conference is also open to anyone who has the margin in their life to join us to hear about how we sense the Lord leading in the future. We are making some strategic changes to CBAmerica and creating a new paradigm for our region.

We would love to have you join us for the day (in whole or in part) for this One Day Vision Conference. We believe we are setting a new framework that will empower our churches and build more relevant value to our network of churches. There are some key things that we will be working through and we would love you to be part of it. Please make time to join us for this conference.

The general day breaks into two key components:

Thursday morning – 10am-12 noon
  • Meet our CBAmerica President, Dr. David Whitaker as he speaks about our new national identity and renewing of our commitment to the gospel.
  • Our Regional Director, Dr. Brad Little will share his heart for a gospel-centered, grace driven movement where we are taking bold steps to fulfill the mission of the gospel in our own contexts.
Thursday afternoon – 12:45pm-1:45 PM – Spiritual TED Talks
  • Gospel and Mission critical presentations from several of our pastors who have graciously made time to encourage and speak to us about the mission of the gospel.
  • Breakout sessions that will give you a chance to dialogue with our speakers to discover our own next best bold steps of faith for the sake of the gospel.
I hope you will come and hear our heart and see how this resonates with your ministry and mission where God has you planted.

We will send out Zoom invites with an opportunity to sign up for the breakout sessions. If you have questions let us know. We are looking forward to seeing all of you.

Becoming Like My Jesus
Pastor Eldon Carlson
CBNC Networking Director
"Yesterday I sat in on a Zoom Sunday School class led by a layman in our church. We have had to go to Zoom meetings for our church due to a recent COVID outbreak, with nearly 50% of the church self-quarantined. Back to that class—it was on Hebrews 12. The teacher, Mr. Larry Gotham, did an outstanding job of opening the Word of God. His thoughts have prompted my newsletter portion for the day. I will be looking at just one verse." Read More

Taste and See That the Lord is GoodxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxNo. 16
"Charles Spurgeon has been quoted as saying, “It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness.” I have found these to be helpful words in this season of life and this season of society. Contentment can be allusive and something that is easy to give lip service. It’s important in this season to reflect on areas of gratitude.

"I am writing this article prior to knowing the results of the 2020 presidential election. There is a chance that even by the time of its publication in the CB North Central newsletter, that the results of the election will still be unclear. As we hear daily reports of cities bracing for potential unrest as a result of the election, and as both sides raise questions as to whether or not they will accept defeat, it is easy to be anxious. It is easy to worry. It is easy to wonder. In times like these, Isaiah 40 is a passage of great comfort to me. ” Read More

6 Important Factors to Re-Open Your Church Well
"What a new and strange thought. . .how to re-open a church. But we’re all in it and figuring it out while the playing field keeps changing. Many churches have been re-opening for months now, and others won’t begin until sometime in 2021."

How Two Midwives’ Faith Bore Fruit—And Yours Can, Too
From the moment they deliver their babies, loving parents want to give their children what is best. They work to build homes that are spiritually grounded, physically safe, and emotionally secure. They strive to establish families that bear fruit. But even the safest, happiest, and most fruitful families face a fearsome threat: an enemy who seeks to destroy them. Read More
