We're excited to remind everyone that the "Pathways to Success" conference is just two days away! The event will take place at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott - Chester, starting at 8 AM and we're expecting over 100 attendees.
We've been planning this conference for months and promoting it throughout the business ecosystem, and now we're ready to hear from our morning keynote speaker, Christopher R. Jones, The Authentic Leader. He'll be speaking about "Growing Leaders in the Journey from Startup to Mature Small Business". Steve Spiro, Retired Bloomingdale's Executive Expert in Merchandising & Leadership, will follow with his talk on "Why Leadership, Culture, and Values are Critical to Your Business". As we all know, culture is incredibly important to any business today.
During lunch, Jay Markiewicz, VCU Assistant Professor and Executive Director of Entrepreneurship Programs, JTM Global Founder and CEO, will share his insights on "Leading the People Trusting in You". We all know that people will only do business with people they know and trust, but it's just as important to lead people with trust. In the afternoon, Jay will share his expertise on "Developing Your Coaching Skills and Empowering Your Employees".
We're also excited about the Power Pitch: Rise to the Top competition, sponsored by Chesterfield Economic Development. Participants will pitch to the audience in the Semi-Finals, and the audience will decide which three will continue to meet our judges at the Finals. Dr. Joseph Casey, County Administrator, will be announcing the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners!
