Lehman and NYBG 🌱

Rare Opportunity: Assistant Professor Renee Bell (Mathematics) and mathematical cryptography students Margie Guzman and Shirley Paulino visited the NYBG to witness an event that occurs for only 24-48 hours every seven years–the blooming of a corpse flower. They also noticed connections with math concepts including Pascal’s triangle, orientation-preserving symmetries, and Fibonacci numbers all around the garden.
