Presented by Mr. Peter Beardsley and the Windward Committee on Special Education Parent Liaisons.


In this seminar, the CSE team will discuss what you need to know as a Windward parent/guardian, and share tips and resources to help you be an informed, active, and confident participant in CSE meetings, during the IEP decision-making process and planning for the future of your child.

  • In-Person Grades 1-4 Parent-Teacher Conferences This Evening. In-person PTCs will continue this evening from 5-9 p.m. Access PTC information on the PTC portal page.


  • Photo retake days schedule. To request a retake, please email yearbook@thewindwardschool.org with your student's name and campus.
  • WMS is Friday, Nov. 18
  • MLS/MMS and WLS are Tuesday, Nov. 29.




  • Outdoor Recess Cold Weather Attire - Please send students to school with proper attire for colder weather, as we will be going outside for recess as long as we can! Students should have hats, gloves, and coats on colder days, and wear leggings underneath skirts.

Please join us for a special virtual event on Thursday, November 17 at 7 p.m. Grounded in Windward’s values and community expectations, this conversation will share current research related to adolescents and the digital world and provide families with actionable strategies to support our students as they navigate their digital lives.

  • Dress-Down Day on Friday, November 18! Students are invited to dress down or wear spiritwear. Review dress-down guidelines here.
  • Grade 3 Thanksgiving Celebration on Tuesday, November 22! Grade 3 families are invited to an in-person Thanksgiving Celebration hosted by our grade 3 students on Tuesday, November 22 from 8:40 - 10 a.m. The event will include refreshments and a performance by our third graders. You will also have the opportunity to view some of their wonderful artwork! Please note this event has a maximum of 2 guests per student. Please RSVP by Tuesday, November 8 using this form.

  • WLS Annual Food Drive: WLS is hosting a food drive to benefit Feeding Westchester, our local food bank. Non-perishable food items will be collected in the lobby from Monday, November 14 - Friday, November 18. Please click here to see a list of the most needed items. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. 
  • Grade 3 Thanksgiving Celebration on Friday, November 18! Grade 3 families are invited to an in-person Thanksgiving Celebration hosted by our grade 3 students on Friday, November 18 from 9-10 a.m. The event will include refreshments and a performance by our third graders. Please note this event has a maximum of 3 guests per student. Please RSVP by Wednesday, November 9 using this form.
