Dear Friend,

In 2020, we pledged that we would “rise together” out of this pandemic. Thanks to your support, we were able to honor that commitment and serve more families than we ever have by pivoting our services online.

We expanded our programming and services to over 7,000 youth, families and organizations across the country. We served more families in one year than we had in all of our years combined.

As all of our families continue to recover from the impact of the last two and a half years, we now see that it is our charge to focus on children’s mental health and well-being. As we go forward, our mission is even stronger to build resilience and help youth and families "heal together."

This year, children revealed some of the deepest pains and traumas they faced during the pandemic, causing significant struggles with their mental health. We were able to remain responsive to these needs by expanding upon our current services and creating new programming with safety-net services such as:

  • Safe Haven Emergency Housing
  • Online SEL-focused Day School
  • Clinical Small Groups
  • Individual Trauma-focused Therapy

This programming provided the kids with housing stability, safety, mental health support, and an opportunity to begin to build their resilience with safe adults. We disrupted the negative trajectory of their lives and it was our honor to do so.

Tiffany and I were also privileged to share our professional and lived experiences of resilience across the country. Our highest honor was being called upon to present as the keynote speakers to the leaders of the child welfare system in the state of Pennsylvania, which included three sitting Supreme Court Justices!

As we reflect on 2022, we are humbled and very grateful to say it was a remarkable year of giving and serving for us. We see a growing need for our services to make a greater impact, and we want to expand our capacity to meet the need.

We have a BOLD GOAL to raise $100,000 for building improvements and upcoming mental health programming.

We ask you to partner with us with your end-of-the-year giving to help us reach our goal and pass this on to others. Through the Power of Together, our children will have hope and a future.

With sincerest gratitude,

Teresse Lewis LCSW, Executive Director
