Thanks to our friends at James Hardie, we’ve added durable siding and new skills to the site. See what’s next — and how you can help.
The Veterans Build took a big step forward this month thanks to the James Hardie Company. Andrew Preece and Tim Larson from James Hardie spent the day with us, showing our volunteer crew how to properly install Hardie-plank siding. Tim shared safety tips, hands-on instructions, and care advice that will help keep these homes strong for years to come. On top of their time and expertise, the team from James Hardie donated all the siding for the project, enough to cover the whole structure, along with the special tools needed to put it up. It was a day of learning, progress, and partnership that left everyone inspired.
With durable siding now going up, we’re closer than ever to turning these houses into lasting homes for local veterans. The next step is painting, and that’s where you can join in. Whether you’ve been on a build before or it’s your first time swinging a brush, volunteering even one day makes a real difference.
Together, we are building what matters most: stability for our local veterans.
We’ll keep sharing updates as this project moves forward, and we’d love to have you join us on site to be part of the progress.
