"We've been working together for 8 weeks, writing lyrics and music, as well as recording. The experience for Amanda and I has been so inspiring. We've be in awe of the stories shared, the music created, and the people we have gotten to know. We are so grateful to be a part of this journey with FTR!"- Tamara Ollerton, leader of the Music group at FTR
Community Service
Blessing Bag Outreach
In February, we teamed up with many organizations to serve our homeless population. YPR, Justice for Cody, and Union for Street Solidarity came together to pass out soup, coffee, Donuts, hamburgers, hotdogs, and chips. We passed out blessing bags, hygiene kits, emergency blankets, clothing, hats, gloves, scarfs, underwear, socks, and first aid items. We had a great turn out, and the whole recovery community came together for this amazing outreach.
March Outreach: BYO PB&J
Join us as we host the first "Peanut Butter Sundays." This event will be the kick off of a weekly routine in our community. This is event is a Bring Your Own PB&J.
We will be asking everyone to bring 1 loaf of bread, a jar of peanut butter, and jelly. Than we will be sitting down as a community as we make PB&J's to handout to the community. We will see the power of community when everyone comes together with their contribution to amplify the greater good. One loaf of bread doesn't seem like much, but it could help hundreds when we come together!
