Back-to-school Season Success at CAN!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our partners, CAN students returned to school last week fully equipped and excited to learn. Our back-to-school events were a blast! Community members joined us for some food, connection, fun games, and got to select backpacks and supplies that we collected with your help. Some students even received fresh haircuts, brand new books from Books for Kids, and had the chance to meet their teachers who joined us for the fun!

Thanks to 123 donors, 38 volunteers, and 17 community partners, the back-to-school season at CAN was a HUGE success! Together we collected 618 backpacks full of supplies, hosted 6 amazing back-to-school community events, and ensured CAN families felt prepared to tackle the next school year.

It takes a village to make this kind of impact.

Other Highlights from August

Late August we had our annual Management Conference where CAN leadership came together for some critical discussion and reflection. We also made time for some important team-bonding activities!

Speaking of the CAN team, we also want to give a warm welcome to a new member of our staff! Tyler Class has joined our team as Salesforce Manager! He will be helping CAN improve our operations and increase efficiency in so many ways.
