COVID-19 UPDATES

California Regional Stay at Home Orders Lifted

As of Monday, January 25^th, California’s Regional Stay at Home Order (issued December 3 ^rd ) covering Orange County was lifted. The county now returns to California’s tiered reopening system. Businesses and organization now follow guidelines for Purple Tier 1.

While the most restrictive, the return to Purple Tier 1 brings significant changes from the stay at home order.

The Limited Stay at Home Order, which limits non-essential activities between the hours of 10pm and 5am, expires with the Regional Stay at Home Order ending.

TIER RESTRICTION INFORMATION

Vaccine Tiers: Industrial, Commercial, Residential Facilities & Services

COVID-19 vaccination is one of the most important tools to end the COVID-19 pandemic and a start to things getting back to normal. California is prioritizing vaccines for equitable distribution to everyone who wants it. Initially vaccination was limited to healthcare workers and long-term care residents. This (Phase 1A) is in progress and we are currently at Phase 1B, Tier One.

Next on the priority list for vaccination are:

Those at risk of exposure at work in the following sectors:
Transportation and logistics
Industrial, commercial, residential, and sheltering facilities and services
Critical manufacturing

Prioritization for our industry is currently as high as a someone can be that isn’t in the healthcare or teaching/childcare fields, and is ahead of many other essential sectors.

With their experienced leadership of such organizations as OCTax, South Orange County Economic Coalition, and the OC Forum, the BOMA OC Board is excited to announce this change in management. Given their extensive experience in marketing and communications, the BOMA OC Board believes that Communications LAB could help our organization reach new heights as we transition out of the pandemic this year.
