"We Got This"

From caregiving to cleaning to camaraderie with co-workers, residents and families, Pathway to Living team members “got this” when it comes to promoting safety and wellbeing during these challenging times.
Our NURSES ARE #1
During National Nurses Week (May 6-12) and the 51 weeks in between, Pathway to Living applauds and celebrates the amazing 60-plus nurses who care for our residents.

Family and Friends Parade
The cars – and one unicycle! – just kept coming past Azpira Place of Breton’s main entrance, where residents and team members were thrilled to see so many familiar faces and wave to friends, family and neighbors who drove by to visit.
Feeling Groovy!
Tunes from late 1950s, 1960s and 1970s played as Azpira Place of Lake Zurich residents donned cool outfits for a totally groovy hallway Happy Hour photo shoot.
Special Seder Plates
Bobbi and other Azpira Place of Lake Zurich residents enjoyed their personal Seder plates that Culinary Experience Manager Cinthia prepared for them in celebration of Passover. While residents couldn’t gather for the holiday meal, they felt the love and togetherness from Cinthia’s thoughtful preparation.
How Do Your Victory
Gardens Grow?
Azpira Place of Lake Zurich gardeners sowed seeds in anticipation of a blooming, summer Victory Garden.
Inspired by a sunny spring day, Azpira Place of Breton gardeners planted "starter" pots of wildflowers to get a jump on the community’s Victory Garden .
Clean Hands, Healthy Bodies

Handmade soaps from the Alzheimer’s Association serve as friendly reminders to Azpira Place at Breton’s A Knew Day Memory Support team members to scrub-a-dub-dub their hands.
Good Mental Health
for Older Adults
Life’s ups and downs bring happy days and sad days. Unfortunately, complications from chronic health conditions, loss of loved ones and other age-related challenges can make it feel like the lows outnumber the highs, especially in one’s later years. These days those lows can be further compounded by the necessity to isolate due to COVID-19, making it harder than ever for young and old alike to look on the bright side and keep spirits up.
