2023 Annual Report is Published

We are excited to announce that our Annual Report for 2023 was released last month following the completion of our financial review. Our review was conducted by Connie Christensen, CPA, of Christiansen Accounting Networks. Last year was filled with significant achievements and progress in our neighborhood garden initiatives. Board Retreat

We held our annual board retreat this past weekend. Our retreats are pivotal for our organization's growth and success. These meetings bring together our dedicated board members and staff to strategize and plan for the future. During the retreat, we delved deeply into our mission, vision, and the impactful work we aim to achieve in 2025. One of the key outcomes was updating our strategic plan to include specific goals for 2025 and quarterly deliverables to ensure effective implementation. Our major goals for 2025 focus on expanding the reach of our education and vocational programs, enhancing engagement among garden neighbors, improving our communication with the community to facilitate their involvement in the garden, and refining our systems for incorporating neighbor feedback into program development. These updates will help us better align our efforts and achieve our mission more effectively.

We have a fantastic event planned where you’ll get to dive into the fascinating world of garlic through a hands-on learning session. Additionally, we’ll be rolling up our sleeves to help complete the construction of Hoop House 2. This is a wonderful opportunity to contribute to our community garden, learn about the benefits of hoop houses in extending the growing season, and connect with fellow Soulful Seed enthusiasts.
