We Have Walls!
I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am to see the progress on our second hospital, located in DeLand at 2100 E. New York Avenue (corner of Kepler Rd). With the support and attendance of Dr. Jennifer Green, Veterinary Services Directory/Halifax Humane Society, DeLand Chief of Police, Jason Umberger, DeLand Mayor, Robert Apgar, and DeLand Fire Chief, Todd Allen, and a few police K9 teams, we broke ground on our new facility several months back. 
Slowed down by COVID-19, we are now moving at a rapid pace. Veterinarians in the area have been incredibly open and welcoming, telling us we will fill a huge gap for emergency services and advanced diagnostics. In fact, our new facility will make it possible for us to provide a variety of treatments and technologies not commonly available in this area.
A few key features of the building:

  • Modern, warm reception area with separate coffee, lounge and work zones for privacy and comfort. 
  • Client comfort room, with a living-room vibe and direct access to an exterior garden for those private moments needed with a pet. 
  • Trailer pull-through (roll-up door) with direct access to a specialized treatment zone for larger animals. 
  • Top-of-the line mechanical and ventilation systems, including increased fresh air, antimicrobial and separate air zones for treatment, client and animal wards.
  • Progressive surgical center including two operating rooms. 
  • Radiology and imaging center including CT, ultrasound, X-ray, endoscopy, and echocardiography services.
