Hello from Haiti!
Good Things Come to Those Who Wait
That quote sounds like it comes from the Bible, but it doesn't! The need for patience and waiting on the Lord's timing is a theme throughout the Bible, though. For example, Psalm 27:14 says "Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!"
A year ago this month we wrote about a need of our partner church in Roswell, Georgia. Connection Church ministers to the ethnic Haitian community, many of whom do not have transportation and a reliable van was an obvious need. Thanks to your giving, the church was able to buy a nice Transit van last month.
Here's Why it Matters
Many Haitians in our community don't have access to a car, and are struggling with uncertain futures due to potential deportation or revocation of temporary status. A reliable van is a lifeline, enabling them to:
- Attend church services and find spiritual support
- Access essential services and resources
- Connect with their community and find a sense of belonging
- Navigate the challenges of daily life with dignity
Your Giving Makes a Difference
We are grateful for our supporters and want to take this opportunity to thank you. Your giving has tangible results for the Haitian people, not only across the ocean, but also right here in the local area. Your giving and prayers are a great encouragement to us. Thank you!
