January 17, 2023 Government & Business Development Committee Meeting- We had a great meet and greet with State Rep Hilda Santiago, State Rep Mike Quinn, newly-inducted State Rep Jack Fazzino, and State Senator Jan Hochadel, where we introduced our 2023 Legislative Highlights, 2023 Legislative Action Agenda, and began planning our Chamber-wide Legislative Round Table. December 22, 2022 Press Conference for Meriden BIG Program- Mayor Scarpati, Chamber President Rosanne Ford, and other team members, launched the Meriden BIG Program, which is spearheaded by a collaboration of the city of Meriden's Economic Development department, MEDCO (Meriden Economic Development Corporation) and the Midstate Chamber of Commerce. This program's goal is to spark economic development efforts in the city of Meriden.

Equity Match Grant Program - Women's Business Development Council | The Women's Business Development Council (WBDC) is excited to announce our next round of the Equity Match Grant Program, which will open January 17th, 2023! The deadline to apply is February 28th, 2023. The application will also be offered in Spanish. Please help us spread the word about the grant opportunity to women-owned businesses. The program offers grants of up to $10,000 to women-owned businesses in the state of Connecticut who have been in business for 2 or more years and have revenues between $25K and $2 million. Since the start of the program, we have distributed 167 grants of over $1.5 million to women-owned businesses in Connecticut. | | | |
