TIPS FROM THE KSF PowerUp MANAGER

The power of a road trip: We’ve shared about the power of exploring previously in reference to seeing your local community and assets with new eyes. Today, we recommend setting up a road trip with someone of a different age - perhaps a child or a grandparent, and to get curious. Recently, PowerUp & Engagement Manager Simone Elder road tripped across the state with her 90-year-old grandmother. Along the way, they visited some of the World’s Largest Things found in Kansas and enjoyed food from local restaurants. A road trip allows space to share interests and family history while driving uninterrupted and it's a great way to remember the PowerUp Values of appreciating history and supporting local.
