Pulling Up Another Music Stand

In anticipation of the We Kan! Conference coming up, the theme of Creating the Choir continues to percolate. Communities of the Future™ do not come from the same few voices talking to each other. They grow when new voices are welcomed into the conversation, or choir if you will. Sometimes that means inviting someone younger. Sometimes it means listening to someone whose background or experience looks different from our own. Sometimes it simply means asking a quiet neighbor what they think. Creating the choir is not just singing louder but making sure more voices have a place in the song.

-Karly Frederick

We Kan! Conference is sold out! Thursday, April 2 - Meridian Center, Newton. Theme: Creating the Choir.

We're excited to explore ways to create "the choir" in our communities - singing the praises of what is good where we live. Learn about how we can invite future community members to be rural by choice, and expand the ways we invest in the places we love. More details here.

The We Kan! Conference on April 2 is sold out and the Pre-Conference on April 1 is sold out. Join the waitlist here.
