Every Animal Matters

What a year 2020 was for us all. The wildfires and COVID-19 certainly presented many challenges, but our community pulled together to help where needed. As we incorporated safety measures, our staff and volunteers were able to keep busy, enabling us to continue the lifesaving work that we do for animals in need.

To everyone who adopted a pet or visited our thrift shop and spay/neuter clinic in 2020, thank you for your patience through our new processes. We are looking to 2021 with hopes of it being a peaceful year that will bring normalcy back into our lives.

Last year, over 700 dogs and cats arrived at our shelter door because of being found stray, abandoned, or surrendered. The HBPets Spay/Neuter Clinic performed 2,200 surgeries and we are proud to continue to help reduce pet overpopulation. Our thrift shop continued to be a popular place for finding treasures at a bargain price, with proceeds benefitting our animals.
We would like to again thank our very generous Paws For a Celebration sponsors; without their support, we wouldn’t have been able to hold our first virtual fundraiser back in October.

Throughout the year, you will see adoptable animals that have had their adoption fees paid for by one of our Paws For a Celebration sponsors.
The first Adoptable Animal Sponsor is 1882 Grille! That means that Meatball's adoption fee has been paid for. Thank you, 1882 Grille! Be sure to show them some love by dining safely outside, or placing food orders for curbside pick up!

Meatball is ready for his new home! Do you have the love and time to give to this sweet boy? He deserves a second chance and his adoption fee has been sponsored!

Meatball is a handsome and loving 4-year-old Pitbull who would make an excellent walking and hiking buddy for a household with no children. He would benefit greatly with an owner who has the time and patience to train and exercise him. While in our care, Meatball has been neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, and dewormed.

We Have a New Website!
The new Homeward Bound Pets Humane Society website is finally here! After a year of hard work and dedication, we are delighted to officially announce the launch of our beautiful, newly designed, user-friendly website. Have fun exploring and thank you for being part of our rescue family. You may visit our new website here.
A BIG thank you to Amanda Greene, Co-owner of Nimbl Marketing Co. for her contribution of love and time. Our website wouldn't be possible without her help and dedication.
