We Must Return to a Civilized, Moral and Faith-Centered America
Welcome to the JLL Letter,

The High Holidays begin on the eve of September 25th. We welcome in the New Year of 5783 with joy as we listen to the blasts of the Shofar. The Holidays end on Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, beginning just before sundown on October 4th. It's a solemn time when all Jews come together in unity, as one extended family in the greater Jewish community.

The blowing of the Shofar is a mournful and awe-inspiring sound as we contemplate and reflect upon all of G-d's creation from the beginning of time. Rosh Hashanah marks the day of G-d's Creation of the world, and of Adam and Eve. We reflect upon the revelation at Mt. Sinai, the Destruction of the Holy Temple, and the Day of Judgment.

As the Day of Judgment approaches it is a time we are in awe and fear of G-d. Those of us who are righteous will be inscribed into the Book of Life.

The Shofar is not like any other instrument. Because it is natural and comes from a living animal, each ram's horn is unique like the animal itself, and no two Shofars are the same. No two human beings are the same either. We are all created in G-d's image. We all have the spark of the Light of Hashem within us. The loss or destruction of even one innocent life is a tragedy.

There could be nothing more critical at this time than to hope and pray for a unified America. We live in a culture and country that is unrecognizable and has never been more divided. The crime rate is at an all-time high. Marriage and childbirth are in decline. Families are in disarray. Schools and libraries are promoting horrific transgender ideologies that have no place in public school, public life or in any educational setting.

Hospitals are mutilating young people in horrific surgeries If you "Click to see Evil" in the meme down below, you'll see how bad it is.

There is a growing intolerance for people of faith. The recent Supreme Court decision requiring Yeshiva University to recognize a "Pride Alliance" group is in conflict with the religious beliefs of the school and of Judaism.

In recent years, Christian business owners and churches have been besieged by vicious attacks and lawsuits against them because of their beliefs.

Perhaps we need to hope for more and pray for more to effect a positive change and return to the moral values Americans once took for granted. There is nothing moral about forcing a religious institution or religious people to abandon their core principles. There is nothing civilized about promoting the destruction of human life, whether it is born or unborn.

A Sweet and Happy New Year to all those celebrating.

The Issues that Matter
While it is not my place to tell people how to vote, I will suggest that all pro-lifers check the Senate and Gubernatorial races in their states. Many self-proclaimed "pro-life" candidates - like Dr. Scott Jensen in the video above - are stepping all over themselves in their efforts to ditch their commitment to saving unborn babies.

Why?

Part of the reason is the Dobbs decision and what they see as the fallout of overturning Roe v. Wade.

Kansas had a "Value Them Both" amendment that failed. It is important to remember that Kansas may be a red state (Republican) but it is not a conservative or pro-life state. This is the state where late-term abortionist George Tiller operated an abortion business in which he dismembered unborn babies up the moment of birth. This is the state where voters elected radical pro-abort Kathleen Sebelius as their governor - twice. As governor, Kathleen Sebelius covered up crimes by Planned Parenthood, including the rape of a child. Most people don't know about that. Incumbent Governor Laura Kelly is a pro-abortion Democrat.

Kansas is hardly representative of other states, and polls show that Americans support abortion bans. But in reaction to the failed amendment and Dobbs, some candidates have scrubbed their websites of any reference to the pro-life issue.

Dr. Scott Jensen went one step further. He says in his video: "Abortion is divisive." "In Minnesota, it's a protected Constitutional right, and no governor can change that."

"And I'm not running to do that."

A governor can change a baby killing law. In my opinion, Dr. Scott Jensen comes off as arrogant and his video convinces me he is not pro-life. His appeal to pro-abortion women won't help his campaign, because they will still vote for Democrat Gov. Tim Walz.

Dr. Jensen will likely lose to Democrat Gov. Tim Walz. I would not vote for Dr. Jensen.
South Carolina Republicans Killed a Pro-Life Bill
Please take President Reagan's advice. Trust, but verify. Whether it is a U.S. Senate race, a race for governor, or a local race in your state, ask the following questions:

"Do you believe an unborn child has a right to be born and not be killed by abortion?"

"What actions will you take to save unborn babies from abortion, and what will you do to stop baby killing bills from becoming law?"

The answers you get are important. It is important what someone does, not what they say. Saying "I am personally pro-life" is a warning signal that the candidate will do nothing to stop abortion.

Look what happened in South Carolina. Five Republicans filibustered the Human Life Protection Act.

Democrat politicians are unified in favor of bills that enforce baby killing. Republican politicians are not unified in protecting life.

Religious Pro-Life Americans Under Attack
This report by the Religious Freedom Institute is essential reading.

Churches are being burned down. Pro-life pregnancy centers that help pregnant women with compassionate care so they can choose life instead of abortion - they are still facing arson, bombings and destruction of their property. CompassCare Pregnancy Center faced hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages and a 145 year old church was burned to the ground.

The terrorist group "Jane's Revenge" is still out there taking responsibility for dozens of attacks. There are cyber attacks against pro-life sites. Pro-life activists are being assaulted.

These groups are organized and pro-abortion violence is widespread.

Federal law enforcement is doing nothing to stop the violence. And so-called "pro-choice" organizations are SILENT about these attacks. The only choice they support is baby killing.

Pro-lifers need to know what is going on nationally, because it is not being publicized by the media. We need to do all we can to draw attention to the terrorism and try to stop it.

These are federal crimes that must be prosecuted, but they are not!

Please read this report and the extensive Endotes.

JLL on Twitter: Abortion is a Civil Rights Issue.
Jewish Life League on Twitter: "Some "pro-lifers" began...

Some "pro-lifers" began re-framing baby killing as a states' rights issue, but abortion violates the civil rights of unborn persons. Dobbs took abortion out of the Courts. Federal laws can still be enacted to protect unborn persons, and must be.

Penance for Abortion
"All abortion by choice is forbidden. Once a person comes to that realization, how do they find atonement for any horrible mistakes of their youth? The reason to hope for forgiveness is simultaneously the very reason also to not delay repentance."

The Jewish Pro-Life Foundation hosted their After Abortion Healing Event for Jewish women on July 24th, and it was a wonderful, compassionate exchange of women who were hurt by previous abortion experiences, and were there to heal. It was an open and sharing experience for the women who attended.

The JPLF will be hosting Tikvat Rachel Healing Events in the future. Stay posted, and we will keep you informed.

If you know a Jewish woman who regrets a previous abortion, please ask her to contact:

Barbara Beth 347-566-7898, or e-mail her at: BarbaraBeth54@protonmail.com.
Tikvat Rachel is a unique program developed by Cecily Routman, President of The Jewish Pro-Life Foundation specifically for Jewish women and men suffering with feelings of pain and loss from a previous abortion. We offer an ongoing teshuvah-based program that provides a safe, compassionate and confidential healing pathway so you can recover from the pain of a past abortion experience.
