MORE DONORS NEEDED

Over the last month the Chicago Medical Society has been working with health systems, physicians, and community organizations in an all out push to grow our convalescent plasma therapy program. The outpouring of support and participation from so many brings us to a proud milestone; the first distribution of potentially life saving plasma. With over 200 donors to date, we are collecting and now distributing plasma in Chicagoland.

We need as many donations as possible to increase distribution for critically ill patients in Chicagoland. If you, or someone you know, has recovered from coronavirus, your blood can likely help someone who is currently infected with COVID-19. WEBINAR: COVID-19 IN SKILLED NURSING AND LONG TERM CARE FACILITIES

Chicago Medical Society has partnered with ECHO-Chicago to support community providers in addressing COVID-19. Each hour-long session includes a brief didactic and Q&A led by infectious disease specialists at the University of Chicago Medicine and other experts.

This 6-session ECHO-Chicago series is focused on infectious disease challenges and infection control practices for nursing homes and other long term care facilities. Participation is free and open to administrators.
