Learning as a Winning Habit
|
|
May is graduation season, marking a time to celebrate learning. For the Tripepi Smith team, there is a lot to celebrate this year:
-
Emily Mason earned her Master of Communication Management from USC;
-
Jerald La Madrid, our newest Junior Business Analyst, completed his Master of Public Administration at Cal State Fullerton;
- Charlie Mounts, Skyler Addison and Anne Jang, our soon to be three newest full-time Junior Business Analysts, completed their Bachelor of Arts at Claremont McKenna College;
- And Junior Business Analyst and PublicCEO Editor Alex Applegate is pursuing a Master of Science in Journalism at USC.
Learning, however, is not tied solely to colleges and universities. Indeed, many of the practical skills our team delivers are learned through online classes, UC extension courses and other certifications. Director Katherine Griffiths recently completed hundreds of hours of work to earn her Accreditation in Public Relations. This rigorous process included presenting her portfolio to a panel of three peers and sitting for a three-hour, computer-based examination. Katherine is already an accomplished and award-winning professional, but in true Tripepi Smith spirit, she embraced the reality that there is always more to learn.
Anyone who knows our firm well knows how deeply we embrace constant learning. “Always Be Learning” or #ABL is an important part of Tripepi Smith culture. It shines through in discussions with our team about what they enjoy most about work life here, as well as in the work we do for our clients.
Communications work depends heavily on technology platforms that are constantly evolving, like social media, website content management systems and software packages. We also work in policy areas that fluctuate with court rulings, Sacramento’s whims and responses to newly declared crises. These factors demand that our team absorb new information and adapt their responses accordingly to deliver fresh ideas that make an impact.
While we are not inventing a new vaccine or launching a starship to Mars, our team is routinely learning to become more efficient or expanding their knowledge to add more value for Tripepi Smith clients and teammates. It is part of who we are. Clients know that when they hire Tripepi Smith, they are hiring a team who is top notch and brings the best and brightest to every meeting, conversation and client deliverable. That is our commitment to you.
May You Always Be Learning,

Service Spotlight: Website Development and Analytics
|
|
A website remains the cornerstone of an organization’s presence. It is often the first (and perhaps only) impression on prospective clients or residents. Make it count.
Our experience with dozens of public agencies makes us fluent in a range of content management platforms used by public agencies, including WordPress, Civica, Vision and CivicPlus. We develop intuitive websites from the ground up, create content to keep them fresh, leverage Google Analytics to drive traffic and understand visitor behavior, and ultimately, make your website helpful and engaging.
