Pastor Trudy's Message

Sacrificial love? Jesus and a scribe agree on the greatest commandment(s)- love God and love neighbor. Jesus tells the scribe that he is not far from the Kingdom. What does he need to do to reach the kingdom? We will be leaning in to hear the answer this weekend. 

Mighty God, the greatest commandment is to love. Help us to start with knowing we are loved by You…a love shown through Your Son, Jesus, in whose name we pray. Amen.

If we are commanded to love sacrificially, does that mean we cannot draw boundaries?

• We praise You for Your steadfast and unending love. Help us to be more like Your son – loving, forgiving, kind, and caring. Help us to embrace Your presence and welcome Your guidance. Protect rainforests, mountaintops, oceans, and wilderness areas from commercial exploitation. Help us to be better servants, doing your work in the world.

• Thank You, God, for all Your blessings. We pray for peace, empathy, and much patience in our community, in our nation, in our world, and in our hearts. Help us to make room in our hearts to welcome others as Jesus teaches us to.

PDO Fall Registration opens to GLC members and currently enrolled families on Monday, March 11 @ 9AM. Click HERE for more information.

This class will take place Sunday, March 17 immediately following the 10:30AM worship service in room 213 at the top of the stairs. Children are welcome to attend as well. Please RSVP to Michelle to begin the baptismal process at GLC.

Our next food packing opportunity is at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) from 9AM to 11:30AM on Wednesday, March 20. If you would like to volunteer, RSVP to Martha Sobie by Sunday, March 10.

Please join us as you are able March 10th in Fellowship Hall. We will be preparing a Mexican Casserole and lunch items for the Lazarus House guests. If you are unable to join but would like to support the ministry, you can sign up to bring ingredients HERE. Please drop off all ingredients by Friday, March 8.

Thank you so much for the delicious soup and cookies! The meal was very appreciated and well received. 🙂 Damon was happy to not have to cook again! Ha! We are blessed and so grateful for you all.
