Spring has SPRUNG
Spring really has the ability to impact how we see the world. and this Spring feels even more powerful than previous years. This Spring, the sense of hope, renewal, and growth feels so real. With the COVID vaccine roll-out starting to speed up in our communities, this Spring feels all kinds of feelings of hope and renewal.

We certainly are not under the impression that Spring and the vaccine means things will automatically be going back to a full "normal" anytime soon. Experts aren't expecting a full economic recovery for quite a while, and we fear going back to normal will not be normal for everyone, but with your support, we are positioned to help get everyone back to normal.

Community Market
In 2020 our food pantry served more than
11,000 households!

We could not accomplish this without the help of our Food Share partners, Cal Recycle and all our wonderful volunteers. This month we say thank and goodbye to a group of missionaries from the Church of Latter Day Saints, they have been with us from the beginning of the pandemic and now they are off to new adventures.

Our food pantry is open on Thursdays, starting at 9:00 am and goes until 12:30 noon, or until food runs out - whichever comes first.
HEAP Applications Being Accepted
HEAP is a federally funded program that helps low-income households pay their energy bills. Eligibility is based on the household's total monthly income, which cannot exceed 60% of the Area Median Income. Because of the economic hardships associated with the pandemic, we have seen a significant increase in HEAP applications, and are now able to distribute thousands of dollars to meet the need.

To maintain physically distanced protocols, we are encouraging people to apply for assistance via fax or mail, or call our message center at 805-436-4021 or 805-436-4000 with any questions.

You can go to our website for more information and to download the application.

As always, if you need to drop it off in person, our Drop off Window will be open on Wednesdays from 9 am to 3 pm.
