Dear ASHI Members,

We are pleased to announce the formation of the Global Practicing Guidelines Task Force, a collaborative initiative led by the American Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ASHI) in partnership with Asia-Pacific Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics Association (APHIA), Arabic Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ARSHI), and the European Federation for Immunogenetics (EFI).

Together, these organizations are working to develop globally aligned best practice guidelines for histocompatibility and immunogenetics laboratories. This initiative represents an important step toward harmonizing laboratory standards, strengthening quality practices, and supporting excellence in patient care worldwide.

To ensure these guidelines reflect the realities of laboratory practice across diverse settings, we need your input. We are asking all members (laboratory directors, supervisors, and technical staff) to complete a brief survey that will help inform the Task Force’s work. Your feedback will:

  • Identify current practices and variations
  • Highlight areas of consensus and opportunity
  • Ensure global applicability of the final recommendations

Your participation is critical to the success of this effort. The survey will take approximately 8 minutes to complete. Complete the online survey for a chance to be one of five randomly selected participants to receive a $50 gift card as our thank-you for your time and feedback.

Thank you for your continued commitment to advancing our field and for contributing to this important global initiative.

Sincerely,

Dr. Anne Halpin

ASHI President
