NEW HOLIDAY FAVORITES IN PICTURE BOOKS

It's the most wonderful time of the year, and a mother and daughter are enjoying the sights and sounds of the holiday season. The little girl hears sleigh bells ringing and carolers singing. She smells chestnuts roasting and sees the flashing lights of the department store windows. She spreads the spirit of giving wherever she goes. When she reaches Santa, she tells him her Christmas wish--for peace and love everywhere, all the days of the year.

Santa is all ready to leave on Christmas Eve, but last-minute letters are arriving from Washington! From a little girl who is wishing for more sunshine to some mischievous bears inviting the reindeer over for a play date, each letter contains a humorous request that gets Santa chuckling. Even better, each letter comes tucked in its own pocket envelope with delightful extras like cards, money for toll roads, and even a map of Washington! How will Santa respond? It's Washington Christmas magic you'll have to see!

It's time to decorate the tree for Christmas--but Grandad can't find any of his ornaments! The hunt for the missing decorations takes the children up and down in Grandad's bric-a-brac-filled house and out into a winter wonderland. And when every ornament is on the tree at last, Grandad has a wonderful holiday surprise in store. This seek-and-find book from the award-winning author of The Lost House and The Lost Picnic will delight readers of any age and belongs under a Christmas tree.

GIFTS GALORE FOR AGES 8 - 12

This second screenplay from J.K. Rowling expands on earlier events that helped shape the wizarding world, with some surprising nods to the Harry Potter stories that will delight fans of both the books and films. In an effort to thwart Grindelwald's plans, Albus Dumbledore enlists Newt, his former Hogwarts student, who agrees to help once again, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.
