Now is the time to invest in systems and social change for women and girls.
We Invest. We continue to provide funding to nonprofit organizations that advance gender equity for women and girls, especially Black, Indigenous, and Women of Color who are experiencing the worst impacts of the health, economic, caring, and personal safety crises.

We're Vital.

  • We are the only funder focused on gender equity in Maine and our Grants Committee just reviewed 52 Letters of Interest submitted to our Annual Grants program. We expect to be able to fund just one quarter of those.

  • We recently provided funding for two urgent Swift Social Justice Grants:
  • Equality Maine Foundation, for their organizing work on bills specifically targeting transgender women and girls.
  • Coded by Young Women of Color, a brand new organization offering trainings in computer science and emerging tech, where Black women make up less than 2% of the field.

We Build. We build community support for systems and social change for women and girls.

We Need You. If you're passionate about gender equity, please consider making a donation to the Maine Women's Fund.

Thank you for investing in the power of women and girls!

We fund organizations advancing gender equity by increasing women's and girl's access to: education, healthcare, personal safety, financial skills and literacy, leadership, and public policy. Because you supported us, we have granted over $800k to over 75 organizations since 2015 including:
