Dear parents, families, students and community partners,
Yesterday we heard from the Mayor of Los Angeles and our Los Angeles County Leaders that they are implementing a
"Safer At Home"
Order. In short, "
residents of the City of Los Angeles to stay inside their residences, and immediately limit all movement outside of their homes beyond what is absolutely necessary to take care of essential needs." The Governor of California issued a similar guidance for our State.
On our second day of operation, we served over 92,000 meals to our families and students, and we continued to serve thousands of meals today.
The Superintendent initiated a fund
to help students and families through this process and ensure that they have the resources necessary to continue learning at home.
Take care of your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual being during this extraordinary time. We thank our primary care providers, healthcare workers, first responders and other essential workers who are on the frontlines of this crisis working diligently toward recovery and health. We stand with you and we send you love, strength and energy.
