Tara Deaver, DPM, FACPM
Why I Belong to ACPM
"I am from a small community at the edge of a Texas desert. As a child, my parents stressed to be the best; you must be around the best. This is what the American College of Podiatric Medicine (ACPM) provides.

After obtaining board certification through the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM), I was introduced to ACPM. Being a member of ACPM provides the opportunity to collaborate with other like-minds in the profession to promote podiatry on the local and national level.

Podiatric Medicine is changing to meet the needs of our ever-evolving society. We are exposed to new technologies and are actively involved in public health as observed with the COVID-10 pandemic.

As a member of ACPM, you have access to the updated instructional material and in the future assist with the periodic update of the library. Reading articles in Foot & Ankle and listening to lectures through the website helps keep me current and relevant. I encourage board certification in ABPM and active membership in ACPM."
